We are now looking for a resident dentist in oral prosthetics for our specialist dental clinic in Lund.

We are one of Sweden's largest specialist clinics, receiving patients of all ages and offering a wide range of dental care expertise, from advice to advanced multidisciplinary specialist dental care. Here, a team of over 70 people provides dental care in the specialties of periodontology, endodontics, prosthetics, orthodontics, and pedodontics. The prosthetics department currently employs five specialists, one resident dentist, credentialing dentists, and one niche dentist. There is also close collaboration with a dental technician working in the department. The clinic is located near Lund Central Station, providing good commuting opportunities. This is a NSATS position.

Some of the clinical training may be conducted at another specialist clinic within Folktandvården Skåne.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The residency training is a clinical training position equivalent to three years full-time, where you will deepen your clinical and theoretical knowledge within the specialty. A residency in prosthetics provides you with advanced knowledge regarding the management of larger collapsed cases, rehabilitation of occlusion, jaw prosthetics, extensive tooth loss, difficult and complicated cases, as well as implant-supported prosthetics. The training is tailored individually and according to the dentists' specialization training (HSLF-FS 2017:77).

The clinical practice is located at the specialist clinic Lund C.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you need to have a Swedish dental license and at least two years of full-time experience as a general dentist with experience in both pediatric and adult dentistry. Additionally, you should have knowledge of Swedish equivalent to Swedish high school or Swedish C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale.

It is advantageous if you have previously worked with prosthetics at a specialist clinic (MT), have research experience, and if you have teaching experience.
